There's tons of evidence, no blind faith requires, your argument had no grounds and no blind faith required, unlike belief in god ;). Also, we use speed as a reference, true its really much faster relative to the sun but that i not the scale I, nor any rational human being uses. I cant disprove anything, it's impossible, can you disprove that you're a serial killing rapist, no.
Because I wasn't using decimals, I was using the even number 2, and I know that I can hold something proven to be true over something with little/ no proof.
Yes we shouldn't discredit the possibility for anything, even if there's no evidence for it, however we should hold facts and evidence to a higher standard the faith.
This is also a loss for apple however, as many of their ideas started as rudimentary tweaks/ add-ons. Categories was there before grouping apps was encoded into the kernel, notifications came from LockInfo, Notified, MobileNotifier, and IntelliScreen. Camera snapping from volume buttons could be found from FastSnap, SnapTap, and CameraButtons, Snappy allowed you to see your albums from the lockscreen before iOS5, wi-fi sync was inspired by a cydia tweak by the same name, the list goes on and on. My point is, this decline in interest from the jailbreak community is not necessarily a complete win for Apple, as imagine what iOS 5 would be like without a number of the tweaks mentioned above. Some of the best parts of iOS comes from Jailbreaking. This is a loss for many involved.

you are more than welcome to leave
Kyoto, Japan Yah, and the fact that after a few weeks its nearly impossible to cut down makes me hesitant to plant any.
Not that I hate religion but I'll try to rationalize this hate. - People hate the things people have done in the name of religion such as gay hate, non equal rights for women, etc.
- People hate justifying acts of hate with the bible, or with or other holy texts Well I've ran out of reasons because I made that first on really broad...
I would definitely not expect a dancing alien on a print version of national geographic, however would I want one, certainly. With that being said, I would be careful at this point having a substantial part of the revenue come from the users, at this point in the sight, are there enough users to pay for the sight to keep going?
Unfortunately, thus is the way of scientific work. In science, there is no reason to believe in things that do not have proof, evidence of sorts backing it up. I'm not sure if it is to them "I don't have all the answers or cant understand something so that's god" as it is, "I am not satisfied using something with no real evidence as an answer for something I don't understand at this point in time.
I can have all the faith in the world that the sun revolves around the earth however the evidence would prove me wrong. Does that seem fair we hold the two to the same standard?
The difference between evidence and faith is that there are things to back up evidence, numbers, observations, etc. I can have faith that 2 + 2=5 but that is still wrong according to all that we have held true. And according to BLOB_CASTLE below that my thought of 2 + 2=5 would be held as equally as 2 + 2=4. And unfortunately, its the truest form of reality we have, we can say that the Hubble telescope is not the best way to view space (which is probably true, there are always better ways to do something) however that does not mean we should hold the Hubble telescope, and my do-it-yourself telescope to the same standard. Just because we have two ways of viewing/ something does not mean that one cannot be better than the other.
Wow... the east cost makes me sad for gun deaths.
However, this does not really come across in this website's design. I know this is a pretty new site, and a lot of the details have yet to be worked out, but a few things could be done to emphasize Hubski's "user-centrism".
It's not that old its like two years now since it started. I'm not sure what could be done to improve that though, the author is right next to the tag... First is by switching around a little bit of the terminology. There's a nice big "submit a post" button. But that feels very "Reddit". You could change the text to something more along the lines of "share something"
Share something sounds very similar to submit a post, although I can see where you are coming from. I would also make user profiles a little more "full fat".
I kinda like the way they are now, it shows some of the profile while keeping the site in the background to make it sort of a pop-up look. Another suggestion I would make is to put a user's newest post at the top, and have it move around the page based on time and "hotness".
Assuming they are based with the best things at the top, I would recommend keeping it that way, I personally would rather see a users best work as opposed to their newest.
Dark matter is merely a placeholder, the same as X or Y in algebra, for something we don't understand. Just because we don't understand it does not mean we never will, and it does not mean that "the universe is trying to show an existence of a god." Such thinking was common a long time ago used by religions to show the existence of a god. We didn't understand quantum mechanics or know about quarks 100 years ago, does this mean in 100 years if we do fully understand dark matter can we say it doesn't prove god again? The ancient Greeks did not understand the sun rising or setting, and attributed it to Apollo riding his chariot across the sky. With that being said, we still know a lot about dark mater, such as it is about 23% of the universe (note that we can get a pretty good measure of dark matter by measuring the effects of gravity on things we can see) and that it is web-like, interwoven with regular, visible matter. We don't understand many things, this does not mean there is proof of a god, and we still understand some things surrounding dark matter. Now for a more personal side, as opposed to scientific, your "theory" is backed up only by faith that there is an all powerful creator, not by fact or logic. Also, if the universe/ god wanted to show the existence of god, wouldn't you think there would be an easier approach than that?
As someone who is not very proficient in space/ ion drives, can someone explain how the ion drive works?
Wile I agree with the dangerous implications for free speech, etc. if we applied the same leniency, I feel the need to establish that freedom of speech does not result in mass shootings or killings, while the same cannot be said about people using the right to bear arms as a way to obtain semi automatic rifles.
Noted, I edited it to remove all the terminology that was reddit related.
