In Death it Ends - Analog Witch Trials Vol 1. In Death it Ends is Porl King of Rosetta Stone. It sounds less like the Sisters than Rosetta Stone (and every other 2nd wave goth band) did, but if you liked that sort of thing it's probably the sort of thing you'll like. I like it.
Inertia - Lies (S.O.P.H.I.E Mix) might be the cheesiest track I've heard all year, and I love it.
Loomec - Personal Drugstore is another Stefan Poiss project. I begin to suspect that he's either cloned himself or he never sleeps.
Off the top of my head, Electric Pow Wow Drum is pretty awesome (A Tribe Called Red) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_zH9wHWMi_k. A new Reignwolf song, did I mention his album is coming out soon? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=030FGor0IfA Full song: https://soundcloud.com/reignwolf/reignwolf-are-you-satisfied
I haven't been able to stop listening to The Tallest Man on Earth for the past three weeks.
I like this, extremely derivative of Dylan. scrimetime, do you know this band? May be something you'd like. Thanks for the comment rGuile, I'll be checking out more of their music.
Been listening to this beautiful live session from Iron and Wine.
James Blake is a genius, I'm convinced. I linked to Retrograde, which is the single that I guess everyone listens to first, but this haunts me. Shigeto is also nice. That track definitely goes somewhere. CFCF this is less weird and more relaxing. I'd put it on the same playlist as Shigeto. Bells Atlas I think this would be neo-soul.
Everyone who enjoys James Blake should know that you can watch a 90 minute performance of his through NPR. It really is rather stunning.
The last couple of days I've been listening to Adam Green -My daughter keeps asking me to play this song. more please, every time it finishes. I also listened to some Willie Nelson this week, which prompted that post. Due to a kleinbl00 comment from last weeks #weeklymusicthread, I've been listening to the Cayucas album Bigfoot. -Really digging it. Sounded pretty homogenous throughout at first, but now I'm picking up more on the nuance. Good stuff. And.. I got nostalgic and watched Dylan's Don't Look Back.
I recently made my first ever request on The Current with the song The Swan by Cheatahs and they played it! That was a highlight of my week.
For spotify users like me, here's the spotify playlist with every song ever mentioned in these threads (that are available on spotify) http://open.spotify.com/user/insomniasexx/playlist/2P9GgsMOW...
Soft Sitar by Black Star Liner Been doing a fair amount of hammering in the gear room, which means the auxiliary computer has just been spewing Lush on SomaFM, which reminds me how fond I am of Lunascape. I need to reprogram the iPhone. The only "jogging music" on it is a crapton of Crystal Method and I have so much more obnoxious stuff to jog to.
