Solid advice even if it isn't directed at "artists". If you decide you want to be an attorney, do it because you love it. Have a passion for it and you will be successful. It's like the Conan O'brien speech that was recently posted. Conan ends by saying that, "If you work hard and are nice to people, good things will happen". -True.
He's right though, being an artist for a living is one of the riskiest things you can do. It's brave, I have a tremendous amount of admiration for those that chose this path.
