totally disappointed by this. Thoughts?
Are you a fan of Death Grips usually or no? It's a very unique style that I can only listen to on some occasions and with the proper mood. I especially enjoy it driving home from work, bumping on my car stereo, leaving all the stress and everything behind. Totally overwhelming and chaotic , but that's exactly what I need when I drive home so I don't keep thinking about work and projects and stuff. The spoken word in this song are not nearly as strong as some of the other stuff. And the intro is very annoying.
Oh, I looooooove Death Grips, they are amazing. I had the chance to see them live last year and it was the best. This song just seems sort of weak, the intensity is not there.
I agree with you there. There's something missing. Some of it might be my cheap work headphones, but I think most of it has to do with the weak words. Usually his words are like a punch to the gut. I would love to see them live. I can't imagine that energy.
It was insane. I saw HEALTH around that time as well, and Death Grips was like twice as crazy. They absolutely destroyed.
I've only listened to it a few times but I'm really liking it. No doubt it's different but I can't say it's any better or worse than their previous material. For what it's worth, The Money Store was one of my favorite albums released last year.
