True enough. Still, fresh meat is fresh meat. How often do most folks get the chance? Would be hard to waste such good food on an animal.

Most people would have a "pet" relationship with the bird. I was thinking of the people at the shelter.

Some years ago there was a minor PETA/SPCA "scandal" about some shelter workers eating "pet rabbits" dropped off.

Rabbit is quite scandalous if not prepared well. Braised to perfection, however...marvelous!

I'm sure there are other reasons to go to the DR, but oregano infused goat would be a priority for me.
