Governments of states emerging from sustained periods of dictatorship tend to collapse several times before they reach stability. I'm still optimistic about Egypt.

People who are concerned that Morsi was democratically elected need to remember that he only got in on something like 25% of the vote. Hopefully those opposed to fundamentalist rule will be able to organise themselves behind only one or two leaders next time round (as opposed to the eight or so candidates that were competing in the last election). Either that or they could change to a preferential voting system (a much smarter option, in my opinion).
