What could possible be so worrisome about a bunch of squatters to warrant this large of a response? If 57 arrests were made then you're looking at more than an officer per arrest, and probably an officer per person. I know it's great to use unnecessary force to try and scare/warn possible other protests, but jeez. Let's just go about killing the homeless and the squatters for the convenience of the political and rich while we're at it.

Oh, that's not terribly clear in the article. Either way, I still feel that's a heavy handed response from the Police.
