I was just watching a TED talk about Yo-yoing and was reminded of you. How is it going? You still yo-yoing? I did end up buying one and it's a lot of fun. Hope all is well, check out that link, I think you'd enjoy it.
I haven't been around for a long time so I'm just now noticing this response but I am still yoyoing now! I just competed at Pennsylvania States a couple weeks ago! I've been in college and doing all sorts of things and haven't been on hubski for a long time but I definitely am going to return now. Also I saw that documentary when it came out and it was indeed interesting.
Dude, welcome back, it's been a while. So, I haven't picked up that yo-yo I bought in a good long while, but it's time that I did. My daughter recently turned 4 years old and while that is probably still too young to yo-yo, she would definitely think her dad was even more magical (she think's I'm a Jedi) if I were to show her some tricks on the yo-yo. I forget, what are you studying in school again? Maybe I never knew. Anyways, I hope it's going well. Good luck with Pensylvania States competition. How'd it go? That video is bad-ass!! Nice choreography, tight moves that seem very detailed. I'm no expert, but that seemed like it could be #1. Was it?
I sure thought my dad was a jedi when I was younger. That means you're doing it right! If you need help yoyoing then Youtube is the place to go. There is a wonderful wealth of tutorials. I am currently studying physics at Otterbein and then I will transfer to Case Western to double major in mechanical and aerospace engineering. Its a joint 5 year program. I was really proud of my prelim routine but my final routine was not the best. I ended up falling asleep briefly at the contest because we had to wake up at 4a.m. to make it to the contest. I woke up right before I went on stage so I was little out of it for my final. Overall though I was proud of how I did at the contest. I ended up placing 11th out of 36 overall.
