Useful points here such as, Linux users submit more bug fixes per user, cross platform software tends to be more mature, and it lowers the cost of people switching to linux if the apps they use still run there.
While the article is at times a bit confused (in this case references as it's example a cross-platform project that dropped linux support way too often not to hurt it's central argument), I found it a worthwhile perspective.
