Pretty funny
Hold-over from "things you will never buy yourself" thread: The Groma Kolibri, East Germany's smallest travel typewriter. Instrumental in the film "The Lives of Others" which I rather adore.
$300. Treat yourself, it's pretty damn cool. Also, "The Lives of Others" was amazing. A film that I would gladly see again.
That looks great, it makes me want to get one. I'm old enough to have had "keyboarding" taught to me on a typewriter. I recall using one at home. That's back when whiteout was a necessary thing to have handy. Can't tell you the last time I've used that.
That looks really great! You know, I'd never thought about the role of the typewriter in getting women into the workplace. I'll have to keep an eye out for the full documentary. Writing on a computer is fine, but the visceral nature of the typewriter is so appealing to me.
