This. They (the media) have been claiming it left the solar system for like 5 years now. But the medium between our inner-solar system and interstellar space is a big one, it also grows and shrinks in size based on the solar cycles. It will probably be a few more years before it's officially out of our solar system and truly in interstellar space.
