4. writing projects to start or finish, particularly organizing, archiving, transcribing, and digitizing the letters sent during world war 2 between my two uncles -- young men ages 19 and 21 -- who were overseas in the Canadian navy and the rest of the family. They were brilliant, descriptive, analytical writers observing and fighting in the war - The older you get, the greater the backlog. But catching up means other things will backlog. Anyway, no guilt -- it's an endless cycle of creating and reflecting. Why clean up old messes when I can be creating new ones? One of my friends had an apartment fire (faulty wiring inside the wall and something to do with a space heater.) He said it was kind of good, because now he doesn't have to deal with all his files from university.
