Using data from the Herschel Space Observatory, astronomers have detected for the first time cold water vapor enveloping a dusty disk around a young star.
It just seems impossible to me, but I know that it isn't: perhaps 1 billion years from now, when we are long gone, on an earth-like planet that formed there, life could evolve, and an entire story of existence might play out. Despite all our self importance, we won't likely have any influence upon that developing system and star that is seeding a history for another time.
We are just a moment.
