I find this article applicable to so much more than just music and art. Even in the shite business world I work in, I have good managers who can find that place and inspire me to be the best me, and other managers who don't.
Great article, thanks for the share.

George Martin was/is a brilliant producer. It's difficult for me to hear the term "business man" in association with him. He was first and foremost a musician, a producer a mentor and yes a businessman.
The gorgeous arrangements we hear in many of the Beatles songs from "Eleanor Rigby" to "Strawberry Fields" were a direct result of his genius. He was, as they say.. the 5th Beatle. I agree with the article in that a great producer should be able to extrapolate the very best from an artist. But this only works when the relationship is so strong that the producer is an extension of the band/artist (the 5th Beatle). -Trust. I'd love to hear a demo of the song George presented. -It was probably an early version of "I've Got My Mind Set On You" :)
