The phrase “cultural fit” may summon up obnoxious images of old boys clubs and social connections, but it’s a powerful buzzword among human resources professionals.

I don't really like the idea of hiring mostly "cultural fits" in a company. It's homogeneous and you likely won't have people challenging each others ideas, and looking at new ways to do things. Having a single culture in a workplace seems like it would be boring after a while as well. I wouldn't like to work in a place where people are constantly arguing, but occasionally is fine. People shouldn't be afraid of confrontation in the workplace as long as it's related to the work, and not more personal matters.
