My hope is with Steam's mindshare and moving to the Linux platform that it will finally open up game development for Linux, as there will be critical mass. Then, it will make it easy for the indie game communities to have a Steam-like tool to showcase their games on the platform as well. While I like Steam, and Greenlight is a good step forward, I still would like the capability to browse more indie games on a Steam-like platform without going through a Greenlight hurdle with Steam's influence to create more Linux-based development. I'm not sure Ouya and Android (and Nvidia's new thing) will get us there. Maybe it will, but I am more hopeful on Steam on Linux and Steambox.
