I see these all over my collge campus and even out in the city. Usually I refrain from using them because I feel silly taking out my phone to snap photos of flyers. The technology would probably catch on if the default Android and IOS camera apps supported the format; it's inconvenient having to fire up a special dedicated app for these things. But then again, I don't really care if it catches on because the tech is clumsy and gimmicky. The future more likely lies with NFC.
