This is off of "the new green's" second album "Elaborate Maps". You can download the album in entirety for free from our website: http://thenewgreenmusic.com/
Enjoy! Any feedback is most welcome
The entire album is really good! Thanks for sharing, you guys are really talented and I'll definitely be following your band from now on!
Thanks, I really appreciate you taking the time to listen. We should have another album by the end of 2013... but then I said that in 2012 too. This time I mean it though!
Oh! How lovely is this?! I am downloading the entire album right now. Grow Up is sensuous, thoughtful, elegant, with a wistful edge. I am totally going to review the entire album and post a story about it at my blog this week. Can I do a wee little interview with you for background? Pretty please? It would be so great to collaborate on a song, don't you think? Need a female singer? Banjo player? I can sing in tune! Here I am, a song I recorded for my mom before she passed, playing my grandma's turtle shell rattle as accompaniment:
Thanks for listening littlebirdie, I'm glad you liked it. As I mentioned, it's one of my favorites so I fear the rest may be down hill. Can I do a wee little interview with you for background? Pretty please?
-Of course! I actually need to send you the questions for the podcast too. I'll PM you here soon.It would be so great to collaborate on a song, don't you think? Need a female singer? Banjo player?
-It really would. I have about 2000 things going on right now so it might be a bit but once I settle back in to a routine, we ought to do that. I have a number of unrecorded songs I've written that would benefit from both banjo and some vocals. -Exciting.
Actually, this is probably my favourite song that I've heard from you.
Good pick - "King of the Castle" is I think my fav from "Elaborate Maps", though. Or maybe "Closet Smoker", it's very catchy. There's lots of good stuff on there.
Thanks a lot Brian, I appreciate that you listen to it. I should have put in the "New Years Resolution" post that I resolve to finish the new green's third album in 2013. When I do, there's a free download with your name on it :) I've always liked bgood79's guitar solos in Closet Smoker. -Just the right amount of twang.
