Einstein's bagels in Provo, Ut - Summer 1997. He walked out as I walked in. After a few seconds, realized who it was, I went outside, shook his hand and said something stupid like "had to do it so I could say I did it". He seemed to be a nice enough guy.
I went back in to the bagel shop where my friends were waiting. When I told them what happened and what I had said, one of my friends with a great, dry sense of humor said "I would have asked him how to pronounce Eponymous"
