The court case mentioned in the article, Clapper vs. Amnesty, is just as shocking. They aren't arguing whether or not the law is constitutional. Rather, they are considering whether the law can even be challenged when no plaintiff could ever prove with certainty that they have been wiretapped. Hard to understand why this isn't getting more coverage in the media considering it could threaten reporters' privilege.

IMO there aren't many reporters left in the major news organizations. A few outlets like ProPublica exist, but they don't have the reach. The MSM outlets have all hired archetypical/attractive anchors, and just feed them fluff which isn't much more than a retelling of Associated Press blurbs.

We now get strictly infotainment as the majority throughput through the majority of chains of distribution because infotainment is what lets news retailers sell our eyballs to their customers for the most profit.
