Completely unrelated, but did you know that The Gadfly was written by Ethel Lilian Voynich, daughter of George Boole, and wife of Wilfrid Michael Voynich, namesake of the Voynich manuscript? It blew my mind after I looked her up after reading the book.

A few months ago I discovered the Codex Seraphinious. Which seems to be, in a way, the Italian progeny of the Voynich manuscript. Nowhere else besides the Codex have I seen such incredible drawings. As if the world's nature is hiding from the rest of us...
