What are yours?
Mine are definitely Cloud Nothings, My Bloody Valentine, Ducktails, and Yo La Tengo. Already listened to most of the FIDLAR record and I would recommend checking that one out.
I think I recognised only four or five of those names... Anyway, obviously I'm awaiting the release of thenewgreen's latest efforts. :)
As always, you rule. And by the way… I think you recognize more of those names than I did :-) It seems I have some listening to do, which is a good thing.
The new forthcoming new My Bloody Valentine album has to be my generation's (X) most anticipated album ever. Pleased to see it at numero uno. The is set to be released by themselves. Soon. Here:
I'm so looking forward to that release. I got to jam with him at a house party around the time Ghosts of the Great Highway came out.
The music world is gonna hate it when the new MBV sucks. Just sayin'. My expectations for that one are under a rock. I'm looking forward to some new James Blake. And, for whatever reason, I recently had a hankering for some Vampire Weekend so I put on their last album and was really into it. More so than ever. Would like to see how they've evolved. EDIT: I love Kevin Shields btw. Certainly an underrated guitarist. I just think the hype can't live up to Loveless. Perhaps that's a defeatist outlook.
Oh man. I forgot about that. Roads to Judah blew me away. It's weird, I know a lot of people who like Indie-Rock and Black Metal, but not too many other subgenres of metal.
Very much looking forward to Atoms For Peace. Also, a new The Knife record? Sign me up!
Super hype for Azaelia Banks. One of the best rappers in the game right now and on another level with beat selection.
Looking forward to new Phoenix, Los Campesinos!, and Cloud Nothings. I don't think that the new MBV will suck but it can never live up to the expectations Loveless set for it. And I hold out hope that 2013 is the year The Avalanches finally release a new album.
Queens of the Stone Age new album is the one I´m most excited about. Grohl on drums again, hell yeah.
Only recently found FIDLAR's "Cheap Beer", but I'm looking forward to that one too. I liked the stuff Foxygen was putting out this year too. Lots of new names plus big ones, 2013 should be good. The album I've been waiting for though is Deltron's follow up to Deltron 3030. I'm afraid it won't be as great, and the wait only makes it worse, but I've been really craving his style lately.
One of my friends inteviewed FIDLAR a month ago, those guys are crazy. The album's really good if you like garage rock influenced music. I'm trying not to get too excited for a new Deltron record, out of fear of disappointment.
