ya know one of the more concerning parts of reddit or maybe the internet at large(?)? seems to me that most internet-ees are utterly incapable of understanding that other people have different lived experiences than they do.
IF: the online environment is more welcoming than the offline environment for people on the spectrum, people leading alternative lifestyles and people who otherwise don't do well with people AND: the online environment has grown increasingly hostile to everyone THEN: there will be a steadily increasing concentration of people on the spectrum, people leading alternative lifestyles and people who otherwise don't do well with people Online is dying. The freaks will be the ones to turn out the lights. Bluesky’s biggest selling points are things it doesn’t doI’d argue the only identity Bluesky has right now is a place of refuge for people who thrived on older declining social platforms and had to move on, but don’t like any of the newer ones.
