thenewgreen you gotta listen to this.
I'm a little obsessed with this song. The fuzziness of the recording quality, throw on headphones and it feels like you're in the space with these guys. My understanding is these are demo tracks from a few guys sitting in a room around one microphone after they moved from Ohio to California.
Almost 50 years after having these songs recorded people are able to listen to them. Shit.
Thanks for sharing. I too dig the lo-if quality. Def feels timeless. Like it could be a group of guys sitting around today. It also makes me want to write a song on the piano. Edit: it has an Elton John feel and not just because of the piano but his voice when he holds a long note and trails off and some twang when he turns a phrase. Very EJ.
