>SkyNews is so obviously AussieFox. It spooks me. And it's broadcast on free to air across rural Australia. That said, the last election result seemed to demonstrate that national reach does not result in national impact. Also good to see Qantas have finally pulled it from their lounges.
I'm hopeful that 'Straya is becoming less receptive to the Murdoch influence, but I can tell you that Fox News's influence here in the US is only growing. CNN has recently made some business moves that seem designed to chase a market being pulled to the American political right/fascism. It isn't just Fox News doing the pulling, but they wrote a lot of the "How to Pull Rightwards" playbook. We still have Fox commonly played in e.g. doctor's office waiting areas and employee breakrooms. Speaking of defamation lawsuits, one of our only hopes is that the $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit from a voting machine/software company that was slandered by Fox will win their case, but that won't be enough to truly de-fang the Murdochs. Meanwhile, yep, Lachland is following the Trumpian playbook of filing frivolous lawsuits to manipulate public opinion, actual court rulings be damned.
