Good afternoon, everyone! I haven't been on here in a few years. Yeah, I know... That's what I said last time: This week I have "covid", which is a disease that seems to be making the rounds Some things I've done: - Quarantined at my mum's house for six months - Moved into my own (rented) apartment. It turns out that solitude suits me, but I have a bad habit of being too solitary sometimes. I'm sure a lot of people who are very online can relate to that - Got a new job, quit that job, went feral - Visited Athens, New York, Boston, Spain and Portugal - Made loads of new friends, too many to count - Started working as a software contractor - Figured out how to stop being anxious all the time - Took XXXX, XXXX and XXXX. Learned some new things Life is more complicated now but it's so much brighter and more interesting
The weather is changing. I'm not wearing three layers when I go outside. The crocus are popping their heads up out of the ground, and my three Japanese maples are budding and about to start showing leaves. The quince tree is blooming pretty pink flowers. The camellia bush outside the front door is in bloom, and heavy with buds waiting to open once the first group of flowers fall. Spring is here, winter is ending. And it feels like the longest winter ever. I can't wait for life outdoors to resume... And in other news, my Anatolian/Malamute, Moxie, may have a sire... friends know a lovely yellow Labrador boy with a kind disposition. We are going to have them meet and see if they get along... It is the right time for Moxie to have puppies (if she ever is going to), but I am concerned about over taxing myself with work, dementia care for my Dad, and committing 8 months to making puppies... it's a lot to bite off in one calendar year...
