There's nothing binary about it. Everyone has a job. They get paid for it. We trade time for money to people who have more money than time. Doesn't matter what that job is, doesn't matter how important it is to you or to them or to anyone else. You're putting an asterisk next to everyone else's time. You're replacing a "definitely" with a "maybe" and that has ripple effects for everyone you work with. I'm attempting to draw attention to the ripples. You are arguing against the existence of the pool.
