Conventional wisdom said that a new American car company was impossible. Politics have changed in our lifetime, largely due to cable news and social media. This new environment might provide new opportunities.

Tesla isn’t so much a car company as a SPAC that also dabbled in cars. The economics still aren’t there. They might be somewhat profitable but considering how much money is invested the profit is tiny
