From the "inside" I can tell you it is going to be a very interesting decade to see what happens in the church. This is probably fodder for a different thread, but it will be very interesting to watch what, if anything, changes in the mormon church as more and more people within the church identify as homosexual.
My theory is that there is a genetic component to being gay and Mormons -because of so many guys in the closet having 6 kids before coming out- are more likely to pass it on.
HA! Well played lil, particularly the 15-20%. I actually voted straight ticket "Hubski" and wrote in mk for President.
WTF. From your link: Oops. Looks like your Constitutionally guaranteed freedom of expression might be potentially somewhat helpful in violating one particular statute in one of many scenarios we've pondered in which it could be violated. You're going to jail buddy.Laws against displaying your ballot are motivated by concerns about vote buying, since voters being bribed might need to be prove they voted a certain way.
I fail to understand how under Citizens United vote buying is still illegal. I can tell you who I think you should vote for, and money is speech, so... Vote buying would actually be preferable to the current law. At the very least it would be quieter, cheaper and more honest than the bullshit we have to put up with now.
If I do end up going to jail, will you come visit at least once and somehow manage to smuggle in a chocolate malt from Oberweiss ... and some smokes... and a shiv?
Don't try and dodge the malt. You have one of those lately? I'll be back in the area over the holidays and I'm going to make it a point to get one. We should have a Hubski holiday gathering in Detroit.
Ill get the ice-cream on my own time, the shots and the beer on Hubski time.
Cool. We'll have to pick a date that works. I plan on being back from the 20th-3rd.
Yep, I'm dangerous. I intentionally shot the picture prior to filling out any of the ballot. That way, nobody could claim I was "bribed".
I think it has to be filled out for you to be an outlaw.
I didn't realize she was running until I saw her name on the ballot.
You never know, a lot of those old ladies are starting to get cataracts and glaucoma. I hope it passes.
