I have my problems with Mitt. But this kind of behavior reminds me that he has good days.
Mitt has said some things over the course of Trump's presidency, but it was when he voted to convict Trump of obstruction of congress during the senate's impeachment trial that I became a true fan. And this statement from him, in the current moment, is almost more of an action. I do appreciate it. He should go Independent to twist the shiv, imo. To permalize chatski, if you will, the actions of fellow GOP congresspeople that Romney rebukes do indeed meet the definition of sedition, for me. Yes, it's true that the misled republican voter base, on their diet of circlejerk social media, thinks that there was election fraud. But for large numbers of heavily-skewed-towards-legal-profession-backgrounds GOP congresspeople to pretend like there exists any merit in these actions is not "representing one's constituents' concerns" or whatever, it is abdication of leadership and the law itself in lieu of pursuing raw political power. That said, stopping at labeling it "lofty political ambitions" masks the betrayal of these fuckers with regards to their oaths of office. I will never forget!
