Pretty good and accessible overview of aerosols. The Time article linked is great if you don’t feel like reading the 57 page GDoc.
Right now people can come into my shop with a mask on. I have two open doors that provide a great cross breeze, and it feels somewhat safe It's going to be cold soon and I can't keep the doors open and there is no real ventilation without the doors open. I've decided to set up a counter at the door, put a sheet of plexie glass and sell out the front door for the cold season. It's going to kill the cultural aspects of the shop but I think I'll feel much safer than I do right now.
Yeah that was most of my Saturday morning gone reading through that. Had been looking for an accessible, nuanced overview of what we know about aerosols for quite a while so I'm glad it exists. I also love the smoke analogy. Can we do a 'flatten the curve' esque boost of that mental model? If only so I have an easier time convincing my mom that no, a plastic screen in front of her face isn't going to do much.
