As a leftist, I can tell you that she alienates me pretty thoroughly.

So what?

You have already abdicated your role in this election, and therefore are not even in the pool of potential voters the Biden campaign needed to consider in the first place.

You have already abdicated your role in this election...

By believing what I believe? So you're suggesting I should ignore my own principals in order to get a participation trophy?

Meanwhile, when was the last time a center-right Dem actually won a national election?

Believing things could be better is nonsensical and ineffectual. Just push the blue button and get the shit kicked out of you like a rational and effective voter.

We are at the point in the cycle where everyone who has a problem with the horrific choices of the DNC is to be mocked and shouted down to maintain party cohesion.

It's weird, because literally no one was clamoring for Harris. It's not like she had a good run in the primary and just didn't cut it. She didn't even make it to a voting contest, right? I get that he wanted to check the gender and race boxes, but how about someone who wasn't already 100% rejected by the voters? Duckworth and Rice both would have fit that bill. Really struggling to figure this one out. Maybe duckworth disqualified herself with her moronic George Washington comments and he didn't want to deal with Benghazi all over again? After my initial disappointment, I'm still gonna vote for him, but c'mon Joe. You're really straining our anyone-but-Trump credulity.

The best explanation I've heard is that she was chosen to negate any "soft on crime" attacks the Republicans could make. Not that this actually stopped them from making them, but the hope may be to pull enough centrists his way.

I guess I can still hope that he'll give Warren a high level cabinet position. Might not work if there is a 50-50 Senate tie, but under any other circumstance, she's the best person for labor or treasury, imo. Gotta win first though, I guess.
