I'm not on Twitter and I don't pay attention to celebrity "news" (gossip), but I thought this article was worth a share. You take Kanye out and replace him with basically any person on Twitter, Facebook, Hubski, etc., going through a hard time, and I think there are some good points there. Even the boldest and brightest of people are vulnerable to their own human fragility and a little patience, a little compassion, and a little understanding can go a long way in helping each other out.
The news media here in Norway made a few pieces on him deciding to run for president, but they mostly treated it as a curiosity. They weren't mocking him, but neither were they very supportive. None of them mentioned his bipolar disorder, which seems like a huge oversight and/or very shoddy research. Let's hope this all works out before it goes too far.
I think over here, though I haven't been paying too much attention, it went from "Kanye is running for president?" to "Oh, wait, not really" to "Maybe really?" to "Kanye is being Kanye." I'm not gonna point out some of the things he's done in the past, but even I, not really knowing much about the guy, knows he's had his moments. I think it's good though, that people are cognizant to the point that he might be in a rough patch right now and needs some time and patience. Makes me hope that that kind of awareness is more common these days and such understanding gets extended to the non-celebrities.
