Everyone loves to hate on the D don't they? Fug that shib!
You can do the same thing for a number of cities. Nobody wants to eat Baltimore, Dallas or Cleveland anything either. That said, I'd eat Detroit Chili
Chili? I'd eat Detroit Crackrock. I think that's what they put in their chili though. Btw, Did I ever tell you how cold it is in the D?
Don't dangle that carrot. And don't tease me with a badge either :P
This is actually one of the worst things I've ever seen on the internet.
I see Tigers hats all the time and have for years. Something about the D brand has an appeal. When people hear I'm from Detroit they often say that they would like to go there and see the place. I suggest that they find a guide, it's pretty dreary if you don't have someone to show you the what's and where of the the city.
Detroit has cultivated a brand of being "tough" and "uncompromising". A blue collar, everyman sort of town. This "brand" does well when marketing cars but isn't as appealing when associated with food.
