nowaypablo, not a good look for West Point alums.
- one senior Trump administration official said "if the president knew about any of this, he would have fired Pompeo months ago."
Who cares what an anonymous senior Trump admin official says? We're all long past caring about what they have to say when their name is attached. It'll be, what, like a day or two before we find out that Trump went to a handful of these dinners himself.
Taxation without representation, huh? Where's my fuckin' musket
Funny article on the subject: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/11/18/opinion/mike-pompeo.html Integrity, honor and ethical leadership are a daily choice, the Academy doesn't teach us anything except how to employ the resources we have available to us, to embody those traits when we choose to do so. As much as they'd like to think so, no freak army-college hybrid can force-feed you enough kool-aid to make you a better person. Every problem set and decision is another stinking opportunity to choose the easier wrong over the harder right; the point of a place like WP is to give you ways to be shitty, less.
I once took an "engineering ethics" class, and totally agree. Can't teach or instill integrity, although we're still trying.
My "text" was probably the same, I wasn't paying enough attention at the time. If enough people decide that ethics are just something to be exploited, societal decay quickly follows. looks outside UGH
