Spring time
Deaths climb
In the Empire State
I took my
Mask off
To kiss you goodnight
The fever
Now growing
Has us indoors
The machine
That’s pumping
What we have in store
I .....never want to go
Never want to go outside
I never want to go
Never want to go outside
The screen door
Is no more
You cannot see in
Your bare hands
Your soft lips
Now a mortal sin
While Walking
When Taking
Crossing empty streets
Remember
December
When you could touch me
Now
I .....never want to go
Never want to go outside
I never want to go
Never want to go outside
Will I ever want to go outside
Again, again
Yikes!! Great song. I can imagine this being the new anthem. People standing up and singing it together on zoom. A song for the times.... I hope you write new verses to this when the time comes.... when it comes.... when it comes .... Here's some poems from when we went outside:
Yeah, I think so. I want to record an honest and "naked" song. Too much happening in this. I want an acoustic and a voice. A real song. This isn't it. But it was nice to make something. Thanks for checking it out.
