OK, it's here -- now the question is, for how long?

The US currently has the highest rate of case increase as well as one of the lowest amount of testing.

Both combined suggests you are up for a loooong ride.

I just feel like there are 2 dice that the world routinely rolls, let's call them 'crisis dice'

Most of the time it's war, but sometimes it IS pandemic, and frankly I think most of the common folk forgot about that one.

I am prepared for this to go 18 months. I suspect it will. I keep waking up and thinking "Today feels like a good day for the stock market to drop further." I frankly have built several purchases in as limit orders that depend upon stocks further absolutely tanking. It's surreal. I think we have another really eye opening week ahead of us. People want to pretend that the major shocks are over but they are just beginning

Number total total cases in the US just passed Germany with a higher mortality rate...

Stay safe!

I am glad that I am still allowed to work a little and otherwise try to focus during this weird time...

My dad’s friend called me today to inquire about his status, and mentioned in a panicky voice the liquor stores might be closing down for the pandemic. He wisely advised I go stock up. Russian solidarity at its best!

Might have to go do this too..

Turns out for us, it was fake news - liquor stores will remain open. But I appreciated the sentiment!

it is likely our LQs will be shut down by wed of the upcoming week as part of a "non life essential business closure" that we expect to last 30-60 days. this is all based on rumor and looking at what our neighboring states are doing, but i tell ya, when one of your neighboring states is PA and you're a 2-3 hour drive from NYC, like yup, this is what you're going to end up with

i see this as a great opportunity to start not drinking, but also i'm not there yet

shroomed on wednesday. twas super fun
