Janus's moons above, below:

Under astral perigee,

Languorous youth flutters o'er

The abyssal effigy.

-

Neptune entreats the paper dove;

With stillness, draws him nearer.

Echoing dear Asteria,

Like Narcissus, there, he peers.

-

A desperate cry rips through heaven -

Warning call, unheeded.

On Aeolian winds descends,

Daedalus's love, conceded.

-

Selene's wain is ripped asunder

In the roiling Cretian deep;

Mirrored son, like rain and thunder

Dashed against Poseidon's keep.

Decided to take a different interpretation than others! I'll always be my own biggest critic, so I think I'll just let people react how they will without my critique :)

Icarus still drowns off the coast of Crete. Rather than flying too close to the sun, though, he is entranced by the reflection of the moon in still water. Had some fun writing this - haven't done poetry in a long time.

Poor kid couldn't catch a break from Davy Jones.

It reads like you had fun with it! I'm a fan.
