Turns out my favorite coffee shop barista has a band, and she's a fantastic guitarist: Rabbitkeeper (Spotify link) I put their small group of songs on repeat while I was working the other day, and realized I'd been listening to the same 6 songs for two hours, and wasn't bored/annoyed yet! She comes from a jazz background, with a deep love for screamo metal, but this band she describes as being "very Pavement-like". I hear all the influences, and love the unusual chords, song structures, and melodic lines. Love them. Can't wait to see them live, at some point.
