2/3rds of Americans aren't going to college because a) they can't afford it, b) they can't handle the difficulty, or c) they don't want to. It's classicism but it's also the fact that a political science degree probably isn't going to help most of these people. Engineering requires you pass calc II and a lot of people hate or can't do higher level math. Instead maybe we should not shit all over these people in our uptight social hierarchy where you're not good enough if you're not a medical patent lawyer.
