Thanks! It’s a synth sound from a Juno.
Nice! I'd love to get a proper synth, but my current living space just won't allow it. I can barely get away with my keyboard. Trying to get it hooked up to the computer to utilise the MIDI function is a nightmare. I guess I'll be relying on VST for a while longer! The Juno's got a great sound on this track though! I'll have to try and make some submissions to the hubski original music club soon.
I used to have five 61-key monsters and a 76-key. And a 32-channel Class A mixer. I mean,I had two fuckin' Wavestations. Now I have Komplete, the V Collection and Iris. Don't get wrapped around the wheel on gear. As someone who has played a Minimoog, a Prophet V, a Matrix 12 and a CS-80, the convenience of instantiating as many of them as you want and automating everything and snapshotting presets beats the ever-loving tar out of "analog sound."
Noted. Thanks! :) My biggest frustration is that I don't have something portable that also allows good, tactile input. My keyboard is great - but it's bulky and I can't really arrange my study to fit it to allow composing or use as a MIDI controller. My only other option at the moment is a Korg nanoKEY2 which feels... meh.
Yeah "tactile" is tough. I've got some crappy little Akai LPK-25 from like 12 years ago. It's awful. However, I got it for free. I also have a K2500XS and a Roland A80, and although both of them are under 100lbs, they aren't under 100lbs by much. Full-sized keys are a big deal but the little 25-key guys use the exact same shitty Fatar beds as the 61-key guys. I might have to get one of these meself.
