I think the only reason it rubs me the wrong way is that he owned up to the fact that he knew what they're about but then left the post up anyway.

If he actually cared or in any way felt bad about supporting Chick-fil-a, why didn't he do something about it?

I have no idea. Do you think that by leaving it up more people are now aware of the fact that Chic Filet was/is founded by a bigot? That's worth something.

I think by leaving it up it's possible more people are aware of the background. However, I also think leaving it up potentially allows a platform for people to spout bigotry - as so often appears to be the case with these types of social media posts.

It was terrible timing.
