My aunt was shot and killed by her boyfriend/domestic partner Sunday. It is impossible to consider her death without mentally confronting the especially american issues of gun control and domestic violence in some way.

If a woman and a man are in a (violent) domestic dispute, and there is a gun in the house, the chances of the woman being shot and dying automatically increase like 500%.
