I've always been fond of Momentary Lapse of Reason but part of that is it didn't make the transition to CD when I turned 17. Listening to it now, Gilmour's lyrics are abysmal:

I will, I will she sighed to my request

And then she tossed her mane while my resolve was put to the test

Then drowned in desire, our souls on fire

I lead the way to the funeral pyre

And without a thought of the consequence

I gave in to my decadence

This is probably why I'm fond of The Endless River: It's Gilmour and Wright noodling about instrumentally, converging on their ultimate destiny as a pretty cool lounge act.
