Apathy by: <span><a title="http://thenewgreenmusic.com/" href="http://thenewgreenmusic.com/>the new green</a>~
So baby girl You're not sure you made the right decision You should come with me Consider please my autumnal invitation
Look to the ground watch them scatter and dance Look to me, now quick away It's hard to breathe when your pallor is mine But life gets easier this way
When apathy breeds
Damn those golden calves! My baby's got it bad She's never going to smile quite right again
Just swipe the plastic fast Your family is all aghast But you're growing lovelier still each day
I'm glad to see more music being made. What do the lyrics mean?
Thanks though I must confess this song is the first track off our first album which was released in 2007. As for the lyrics, when I got married my wife was not happy in her chosen field of study and it was amazing how much that affected me. I couldn't tell if she was displeased with me or what she was doing professionally. Turns out it wasn't me ;-) But still, it was something we had to get through. We did. The whole album is insanely personal. We went through some tough times when we were first married, but 8 years later.... we're doing great. Here's another song off that album called Ivy League Skin which references all of the faults I perceived that she thought I had. I think if I never made that album our marriage wouldn't have lasted. Thanks for listening.
