I just read a trip report from a hike in Adirondack Park of the first mile of trail being mud. This is northern New York. It's heavily traveled, but it shouldn't be mud in February. That's nuts. I've hiked that trail in April in snowshoes. I'm going to run after work in shorts. It'll be in the mid 40s then. I know personal anecdotes don't prove anything in climate science where trends can take decades of data to show anything, but things feel different.
