Did you see Sphere? Did you like it? Then you'll probably like The Cloverfield Paradox.
Did you see Event Horizon? Did you like it? Then you'll probably like The Cloverfield Paradox.
Do you want a story that's oddly very familiar from moment one but you'll still enjoy? Do you like Science Fiction in general and aren't too picky about what you watch? Then you'll probably like The Cloverfield Paradox.
I watched about half; I'm never getting that 50min of my life back. This has to honestly be one of the worst movies I've seen, and that's saying a lot considering Battlefield Earth exists. It's like the plot is so fantastically stupid just so people can feel smart watching it. And I'm not necessarily all that discerning: I thought Soldier was great.
Let's just say my take was very different. 1. Do you like movies whose entire plot conceit is monumentally stupid? 2. On a related note, do you like a movie to treat you like a moron? 3. Do you like movies that somehow manage to make sci-fi horror boring? 4. Do you like movies that find contrived ways to kill people that make no sense? 5. Do you like movies that cannot decide what genre they want to be? 6. Do you like movies that shoehorn themselves into an existing franchise in the last 10 seconds without any other plot connection or purpose? If you liked Sphere or Event Horizon, go watch those instead.
