Garage Rock is very, very much still a thing! Most things from Burger Records are garage or psych rock. Fidlar put out some great music a couple years back, Dude York is very much grunge influenced garage rock but holy shit the chorus of that song is something else, The Love Language are one of my favorite recent discoveries, and to get a little "world", here's a band from Lisbon.
