Hubski, this week, you get accordions. I apologize for nothing.

Found these guys on Gems on VHS. They remind me quite a bit of Black Prairie (their older stuff)

Play this song in the background. It's all instrumental and pretty fun. It kind of reminds me of stuff played by The Faux Frenchman.

Also instrumental.

Not that I didn't like the stuff you posted, I'm an accordion fan.

I just remembered that I listened to this today as well, it features accordion.

Probably best known as the song sampled by madlib.

As soon as I saw "accordions" I was wondering if someone would mention this song! I found out about it through Madvillainy, but it's super cool seeing how Madlib changed it and how both songs kinda have their own unique ideas that they revolve around!

I've been listening to accordion this week as well.

It couldn't be more different than what you've been listening to.

Pauline just passed last year.

Yea, it's what made me give her another listen after many years of not thinking about her. She's a lady worth reading about, a remarkable person who left her mark on the world.

Very different. I don't think I'd ever naturally stumble on something like this on my own. How'd you find it?

I listen to a lot of experimental music. Oliveros was the director of the San Francisco Tape Music Center in the 60s, which many great artists cut their teeth at.

Hmm. I might look into her a bit. It'd be interesting to see if and how she's influenced more mainstream artists.

I openly enjoy polka. Zydeco too. There really is something about that kind of music that can really get crowds of people going.
