I'm running out of badges. You've been badged too many time. Fuck it. Have another. The Ten Cent Plague is the best book anyone has ever recommended to me. I probably remember about a twentieth of it and I'm glad about that. I look forward to reading it again like it's a brand new book. Something tells me though, that for you, this epic of history is a one and done experience.
It's astonishing how quickly one can burn through books when they aren't 1100 pages long. I started White Trash two hours ago, stopped reading it an hour ago, and am already about 1/6th of the way through it.
roflcopter goes soi soi soi The two audiobooks I dug into prior to polishing off Durant were Galbraith's The Great Crash and Toland's Last 100 Days. The fiction book I used for respite a time or two is Bacigalupi's Water Knife. The one on my phone I opted not to start instead of White Trash is Toland's Rising Sun. My library has a lot of bleakness.
